Privacy policy
LAST UPDATED · JULY 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SIA “Spredd” (“marketDepths”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the operator of this website, collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data, and the rights you have in relation to it. We process personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the “GDPR”) and applicable Latvian data-protection law.
This website is deliberately built to collect as little personal data as possible. Please read this policy together with our Terms of Service and Legal Notice.
1. Who is responsible for your data (Data Controller)
The controller responsible for your personal data is:
- SIA “Spredd”
- Dammes iela 38 – 43, Rīga, LV-1069, Latvia
- Registration number: 40203608165 · VAT: LV40203608165
- Email: hello@marketdepths.com
For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, please contact us at the email address above.
2. The personal data we collect
We only receive information that you actively choose to send us through a contact or enquiry form on this website:
- Identity and contact data — your name and email address.
- Enquiry data — the course you are interested in and any message or details you include.
- Technical metadata — the IP address from which a form is submitted and the date and time of submission, used solely to detect and prevent spam and abuse.
We do not operate user accounts and we do not maintain a membership database on this website. We do not knowingly collect any special categories of personal data (such as data revealing health, political opinions, or religious or philosophical beliefs).
3. How we collect it
We collect personal data only when you submit it directly through a form on this site. We do not purchase personal data, and we do not obtain it from third-party sources, social networks, or data brokers.
4. Purposes of processing and legal bases
Under the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following:
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or course access you request — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to you (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To prevent, detect and investigate spam, fraud and misuse of our forms — legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the security and integrity of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations — legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
5. No tracking and no advertising cookies
This website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, fingerprinting, or any third-party tracking technology. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not build behavioural profiles about you. Our fonts and all other assets are served from our own servers, so simply browsing this site does not cause your device to call out to third-party services. Because we do not set cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Your data may be processed on our behalf by carefully selected service providers (“processors”), strictly for the purposes described above — in particular our website and email hosting provider, which stores and transmits the emails generated by our forms. Such providers act only on our documented instructions and are bound by contract to keep your data confidential and secure. We may also disclose data where required to do so by law, court order, or a request from a competent authority.
7. International transfers
Your data is processed within the European Union / European Economic Area wherever possible. Where any processor operates outside the EEA, we ensure an adequate level of protection through appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep form submissions only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and to meet our ordinary business, accounting and legal-record obligations, after which they are securely deleted. Where data must be retained for accounting or tax purposes, it is kept for the period required by applicable Latvian law.
9. How we protect your data
This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights under the GDPR
Subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — obtain confirmation of whether we process your data, and a copy of it;
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- Erasure — have your data deleted (the “right to be forgotten”);
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data;
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@marketdepths.com. We will respond within one month, as required by the GDPR. Exercising your rights is free of charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
11. Your right to complain
If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Latvia this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), Elijas iela 17, Rīga, LV-1050, Latvia — www.dvi.gov.lv. You may also contact the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
12. Children
This website and our courses are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links
This website may occasionally contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Please review the policy periodically.
